What things is the Licensing team responsible for maintaining?
Renewing Resident Licenses/Continuing Education (CE) Requirements
The licensing team is responsible for renewing agent’s resident licenses. This includes setting up an account for the agent to complete Continuing Education requirements via WebCE. The licensing team sends out WebCE emails 2 months prior to an agent's Resident License expiration date. After the Continuing Education courses are completed, the licensing team will apply for the Resident License renewal.
Renewing Non-resident license
The licensing team will renew the agent's Non-Resident licenses approximately 2 months prior to the expiration date. These will be done automatically before the license is set to expire. Agents may receive notices from states or carriers notifying them of upcoming renewals. Unless the license will be expiring in less than 2 months, these communications can be disregarded.
Updating changes:
When notified, the licensing team is responsible for updating the states for any information changes that will affect an agent’s resident license. This includes any name changes; same state address changes and State-to-State resident license address changes that will require a residential license transfer to a new state. Although the licensing team is responsible for updating these changes, we rely on the agent’s to notify licensing when a change has occurred.
What things are agents responsible for maintaining? How do they maintain them?
Agents are responsible for completing continuing education courses by the deadline provided by the licensing team. Agents are also responsible for notifying the licensing team within 30 days of any changes affecting their Licenses, which includes name changes, same state address changes, and State-to-State resident license address changes that will require a residential license transfer to a new state. Agents are also responsible for notifying the licensing team of any changes in their background, criminal or credit that will need to be reported.
