In the search bar at the bottom left-hand side of one's main screen type "check for updates" and open the utility associated to 'system settings'. (one can also simply click the windows icon and start typing as well to search the system)
Click "check for updates" regardless of any indication of already being up to date. Run any and all available updates that populate when one clicks the "check for updates button" if prompted to restart the computer please do so immediately.
It is advisable to check this menu once more after a restart as there may be more pending updates that are available following the initial restart, one will repeat the same steps.
***DO NOT run any “Feature update to Windows 10” selections - these updates are shown in a menu beneath the standard updates and have to be manually chosen to run; DO NOT run any of these unless instructed to do so***
